SnapFix.Homes ("SnapFix", "we", "us") is an AI-powered home repair assistant for iOS, operated from Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the SnapFix app or this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the service, and we never sell your personal information.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares (name and email). You may optionally add details such as your name and phone number to your profile.
- Photos you submit. When you snap a repair issue, the photo(s) you choose are uploaded so our AI can analyze them and generate a diagnosis. Photos are linked to your account so you can revisit past repairs.
- Repair and chat content. Your repair requests, diagnosis results, saved fixes, and any messages you send in the in-app chat are stored with your account so the app can function.
- Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status, but we never see or store your payment card details.
- Device and usage data. Basic technical information such as device type, app version, and crash logs, used to keep the app working reliably.
How we use your information
- To analyze your photos and generate repair diagnoses, guides, and cost estimates.
- To operate your account, save your repair history, and provide in-app chat support.
- To process and manage your subscription status.
- To send service-related emails such as account confirmations and important notices.
- To maintain, debug, and improve the app.
We do not use your photos or personal information for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.
AI processing
Photos and descriptions you submit are processed by a third-party AI service provider (Anthropic) to generate your diagnosis. This processing happens only when you request a diagnosis or use the in-app chat. We do not permit our AI providers to use your content to train their models.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers to run SnapFix, each of which processes data only on our behalf:
- Supabase — secure database, authentication, and photo storage.
- Anthropic — AI analysis of the photos and questions you submit.
- Apple — subscription billing and app distribution.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (e.g., account emails).
Data retention
We keep your account data, photos, and repair history while your account is active so you can access your past fixes. If you delete your account, your personal data and photos are deleted from our systems within 30 days, except where we're required to keep records for legal reasons.
Your rights and choices
- Access and deletion. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and data at any time by contacting us (details below) or using the account deletion option in the app.
- Correction. You can update your profile information in the app at any time.
- Subscription. You can cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings.
SnapFix is operated from Canada and complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you contact us with a privacy concern and aren't satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
SnapFix is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Your data is stored with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, with access controls limiting who and what can read it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of any breach as required by law.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
